I finished printing, putting it together, and painting my Norse Thor and here are a few shots.
It's 24 cm high.
acapier thanks a lot!
I used a mix of pewter, bronze, and gold acryllics to give it different tones of metal.
The sculpt is amazing in itself, but the paint job takes it up several notches! It straight up looks like pewter. 👍
duerer thanks a lot for your kind words!
I have 2 statuettes (Odin and Heimdall) that I bought in Sweden and didn't buy Thor's one because I didn't like it.
Years later I decided to make my own :D
ssebastian1066 Thank you for your answer 😀! The love for detail, the energy, the planning and the working time which you've spent for this collectible are really impressive 😀👍!
jankonopka thanks a lot!
Not sure I got your question though.
I did paint this print, it has 6 layers of acryllics :D
duerer thank you!
It's 14 separate parts. It could be less but I wanted maximum flexibility, in order to control printing times and qualities.
For getting the details, I printed with a layer of 0.08 mm and rougher things like the base were done with 0.22 mm.
That is impressive mate. Well done. Now, are you as good with a paint brush? :)
ssebastian1066 That's awesome👍! How many separate parts did you need to print and how did you achieve it that the ornaments come out so well?
