The current image was modeled and rendered in Maya, using Arnold, about three years ago. It was part of a VFX lesson on creating our own CG object and compositing with a photo plate of our choice. I was able to export the mesh out of Maya and want to improve the shaders using Blender and Substance Painter. Original textures were painted from reference photos in Photoshop. The smooth and wireframe images are screen captures from Blender. Currently taking the Blender Learning Flow and getting restarted on the Texturing track. Also plan to rig and animate as time allows. Critiques and suggestions welcome!
