Adding Procedural Camera Shake
Because we all loved Cloverfield's camera work!
That was sarcastic. Camera-shake is a modern, popular film mechanism that adds a level of believability to draw you, the viewer, into the action. Cloverfield is an infamous example - too much of a good thing. Adding this aesthetic to an animation can have the same drawing effect in a positive way. This video demonstrates how to do this procedurally using Blender's f-curve noise modifier. Just remember what Uncle Ben said: "With great power comes great responsibility." Shake your cameras responsibly. CC Attribution: "Pentax KR video test w/ SUPER Takumar lens 50mm f/1.4 " by Matthew Worona
