Why does Solidify work on the edge loop cut band (by not applying thickness in the X-axis), but not when I just scale a cylinder to band width? When I solidify the scaled cylinder it also makes the band wider. Just another curiosity.
Moving right along......
Alrighty... with a little logical thinking, I figured out the issue. The cylinder when solidified still has the end caps (faces) on it so those are being solidified as well. You in essence cut those end caps off when you cut edge loops in and deleted the inverted selection.
I guess you don't have to answer this one. lol
