Absolutely brilliant course
Watching this course several times, still being amazed by the skills showed. So lot of potential and inspiration there. I would say the material is advanced as the course opens very wide perspectives, Chris you rock that is sure, thanks a lot for bringing this together.

Great course. Messed around with random YouTube tutorials and only got so far. These simple exercises helped me get familiar with the Graph Editor, which was a confusing mess for me before I started.

Rotation Complexity
I didn't find difficult at all to rotate the cube by 90 degrees. I used three key frames and i modified the angle on the y Axis, the first key frame on 0, the sencond 45 e the third one with 90. while ajusting a little bit it's location to stick along the 0 on X axis. Did i do anything wrong ?

Good morning Great videos. Overkill for my present needs. I need to create multiple views for a given group of parts, each view needs to identify 1 part with a 3d callout & needs a footer (view title parallel to window) to inform in what direction were looking. Can I create those views in the timeline with markers for each one? What would be the syntax to view individual views in a website? How do I create callouts, footers (title block) & place markers in timeline? Thanks0 Answers -

Hi Chris. This has been a fantastic course once I got past the intimidation factor :-) I watched it once right through, and walked away terrified; watched it again very closely, with the light starting to dawn faintly and far-off; did a little "just for fun" animation using Baker, to get my enthusiasm going; then rolled up my sleeves and went through all of your tutorial one careful step at a time, trying to replicate everything you did. The third time through, it all started to make sense! One question I came away with was whether curves in the graph editor can be copied and pasted to other objects -- say I have Object C, and I would like to make it move just like Object A at one time in the animation, and just like Object B at another time -- could I somehow (here a miracle occurs) just cut and paste a bit of Object A's animation into it at time T1, and a bit of Object B's at time T2? Second question is about the actual cube objects being animated. I found that the "real" cube is somewhere off in space above the apparent (animated) cube. I could (and did) edit its Material, for grins. I noticed also there was a SS modifier on it. Yet my cube (as rendered) had very sharp edges. Is there some reason why I could not see smooth edges like the nice soft marshmallow-looking cubes in your sample video clips? I did my own "acrobatic cube" short, based on the instructions but not copying them to the letter. I wish it could be submitted as a final exam/project; I would like to see other people's (not just stills) also.0 Answers -

Dear Chris At the start of this video you say that "...our cube parented to an empty, is the child of that empty". As I misunderstanding the parent child relationship completely, or is it the other way round?: If A is parented to B, then B is the child of A. Please clarify. Kind regards Michael W.1 Answer -

This course took me the longest of all the Introduction to Blender courses so far and was by far the most rewarding one as I learned the most from it. You know you're learning when your progress through the material slows down. Excellent job, thank you. :)0 Answers -

With this it seems that you have to plan out your animation pretty much 100% before doing it (which it seems is the right approach). But still what there ways where it's feasible to just rig your model and try stuff out (a bit like the ball)? I hope that makes some sense to you. Also is there a way to auto set the empties so they fit perfectly with the cube? And thank you. These tutorials were a lot fun.1 Answer
