The keyhole created visible triangular seams
I'm not sure if I did something wrong or just got unlucky but when I cut the keyhole, it left very visible triangular seams. I tried to hide them as best I could during the 'banging up the metal' portion, but I can still see them... :(

Adding geometry???
Here I thought maybe I was adding too much geometry cutting too many dents and dings. Watching the timelapse I realize I was holding back too much. Back to beat the crap out of the treasure chest :)

What is this merge, and what points are you merging?
I see it a lot in the timelapse, but you didn't show us any merging in the previous video.
Which vertices are you selecting to "merge" (example at 7:47), and what does merging accomplish?
Thanks for all these awesome videos!

Moving vertexes is not altering shape of object
When I move vertices using vertex slide on the middle bracket, the vertices along the beveled edge move, but the actual shape of the beveled edge isn’t changing. Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong?
My file is available here at pasteall: http://pasteall.org/blend/index.php?id=52415
Thanks for your help!

How to Download Videos if we are Citizen Members?
I have been a Citizen Member now for a few months. I like the content, especially the Treasure Chest tutorial series. I thought I could download the videos I liked, as I did, when I first joined. I can't find a "Download Button", under the "Share" option in the bottom right of the video player. Please advise. Thanks.

The Mirrored Lock
I am just curious. Did you use a similar replacement process for the lower part of the lock that was mirrored and was this done before adding detail to that strap?

Auto Smooth vs Mark Sharp

Auto Smooth vs Mark Sharp
When creating this I have just been using Auto Smooth with an angle set 30º - It seems to work fine. But I notice that you are also using Mark Sharp on the edges you wish to sharpen.
Do they work in conjunction with each other? If I only use Auto Sharpen is that OK or am I missing something here?

When do you know to stop
It's a lovely technique and just shows how useful the knife tool is. The only problem I have is stopping :-) I get caught up in putting detail in that I tend to go overboard!
How do you figure out when to stop?
